Our mission is the same as the Awana Club mission, “To reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.” In El Bethel KidMin we do that by – teaching children with a hands-on approach that promotes Biblical literacy, leading children to actively participate in worship alongside their family through Bible study, music and prayer, and creating an atmosphere where all children know they are loved by their church family and most importantly by Jesus Christ. There is always something exciting going in El Bethel KidMin from lemonade relays to penny wars! Click on the link below or follow us on Facebook to learn more!

Today I am gathering newspapers, duct tape, and paper bags for this Sunday’s awesome hands-on lesson. Our kids will be rebuilding the temple just like the task Nehemiah faced. If you have been hesitant about Sunday School – let me break down those hesitations!
Sunday School is not boring.
Sunday School is not another place where we expect your children to sit still for an hour.
Sunday School is interactive.
Sunday School is a small group discovery of the week’s lesson.
I will be posting pictures soon of the walls we built and the struggles we faced!

This week in El Bethel KidMin we are studying Ezra with our main theme being – “God sees our hearts”. While studying this weekend, I was struck by Ezra’s burden – Ezra lays face down in mourning and prayer – and it’s not for a grand show. He has studied the law and the history of his people and he knows that the sin in their hearts has caused the destruction of the Israelite people and will continue to do so in the absence of repentance. But Ezra also knows the mercy of our God in the presence of atonement – and that’s where the people of Israel find Ezra interceding in prayer for the entire nation. What I love so much about this story is that, God can use one person’s obedience and prayer as a “catalyst for a mighty revival breaking out.” This is what happened in the story of Ezra – and it can happen today as well.
God, I want my prayers and obedience to you to be the spark in my home, in my church, and in my community so that a mighty revival can break out.
What about you?
